Meet Olufemi Boyede,
CITP®|FIBP®, Managing Director and CEO of Koinonia Ventures Ltd, Nigeria, and President of Koinonia Global Services Inc., Canada), is one of Nigeria’s foremost international trade experts, with specializations in export development, trade promotion and business advocacy.
In the past twenty years, Olufemi has balanced his time and priorities between the public and private sectors. On top of running KVL, for over fifteen years, he has sat on various government committees related to commerce and international trade, and served as an adviser to four different trade and industry Ministers in Nigeria. Until recently, he served as Technical Adviser to the Nigerian Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment and as the Country Facilitator for Nigeria in the ECOWAS Trade and Enterprises Network – ECOWAS – TEN. He is the Convener of the annual Nigerian Non-oil Export Conference, Exhibition and Awards, NNECEA, as well as the recently-rested television awareness programme, EXPORT DIGEST. He is also an accredited Business Development Service Provider with the Bank of Industry and the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria, SMEDAN.
Boyede organized the successful exposition of Nigeria’s Solid Minerals sector to the global audience thus far, the NIGERIAN MINERALS EVENT, NIME, at the Kensington Town Hall in London in 2001 and followed it up closely with the Nigerian Investors Conference and Manufacturing Exhibition in Paris in 2002. He repeated the event in June, 2005. Before staging another world-class business Forum on Nigeria in Madrid, the Nigeria-Madrid, Business Forum (NIMAD), in December, 2013. Boyede’s Koinonia Ventures Limited organized the Commonwealth Trade and Investment Exhibition when Nigeria hosted the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Abuja in Nov./Dec., 2003. He is a Certified International Trade Professional, CITP, the highest professional attestation by Canada’s Forum for International Trade Training.
